Movement Links of the Lower Quarter: 20 CEUs for Physical Therapists

November 16-18, 2018. 20 CEUs for PTs and PTAs. This 3-day lab-intensive workshop is designed to provide a deeper understanding and application of the movement and neuromuscular approaches in the evaluation & management of musculoskeletal pain syndromes. Functional regional interdependence between the muscular, osteoarticular and central nervous system in the regulation of movement will be a focus of discussion and practice. Clinical reasoning of the evaluation and management process of the upper quarter with particular attention to the lumbo-pelvic-hip relationship and its integration with manual orthopedic procedures will be also discussed. This workshop strives to provide the participant tools necessary to become proficient in basic functional movement analysis with extensive hands-on practice and feedback.

Julie Holt, athletic trainer at Langford Sports & Physical Therapy will teach about the FIFA 11+, an injury-prevention warm-up that helps prevent non-contact ACL injuries in soccer players. You’ll get to learn briefly about ACL injury in soccer, and how to use the FIFA-11+ with your players and clients in order to reduce injury risk.
