John Candelaria, PT, DPT

Dr. Johnathan Candelaria, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT graduated in 2019 from the University of New Mexico with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. After graduation, He pursued a year-long orthopedic residency with Saint Francis University in Pennsylvania. Johnathan passed his orthopedic specialist certification (OCS) in June 2021 and then pursued a fellowship in orthopedic manual physical therapy through Regis University. He completed his fellowship in April 2024, becoming a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT).

Johnathan is also a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), including the New Mexico chapter and the orthopedic section. As a physical therapist, Johnathan strives to restore, optimize and enhance function through education, movement and manual therapy.

In Johnathan’s free time, He enjoys exploring the outdoors, mountain/road biking, running, strength training and skiing. Prior to becoming a physical therapist, Johnathan was a ski instructor in Durango Colorado. He also enjoys playing the piano with his band and brother.
