Professional Experience:

With over 10 years of experience,Lauren is passionate about helping patients regain their mobility and improve their quality of life through evidence-based physical therapy techniques. She specializes in geriatric physical therapy, and has worked with patients with pain in multiple body regions, dizziness and balance problems, bone density problems, and mobility problems, and who are Spanish speakers in Missouri, Guatemala, Wisconsin, California, and New Mexico.

Approach to Care:

Lauren takes a patient-centered approach, developing individualized treatment plans that address both the symptoms and the root cause of each issue. Whether a patient is hoping to hike in the mountains or get up from the floor without help, she is dedicated to helping patients achieve their goals in a supportive and motivating environment, and ultimately promote patient agency and independence in managing their condition when they graduate from PT.

  • Ongoing education in vestibular rehabilitation, geriatric physical therapy, falls prevention, and functional anatomy

Personal Interests:

Outside of the clinic, Lauren enjoys running, swimming, triathlon, weight lifting, hiking, reading, cooking, traveling, hiking, and camping with her family and dog. She is also actively involved in volunteering at Oasis teaching and presenting about safe exercise and fall prevention for older adults, and serves as a co-state advocate for New Mexico for APTA Geriatrics.

Fun Fact:

Lauren’s first jobs were as a Confidential Condiment Counselor at the Mustard Museum and a costumed tour guide at Little Norway.
