Dr. Malin received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of New Mexico in 2018, after working as a student with Dr. Brigit Buszek and Dr. Kara Rechard at Langford. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, and he enjoys working with "patients of all ages and from all backgrounds, from youthful amateurs to seasoned veterans."
Tristan has experience in orthopedic settings and acute care, and has worked with patients with spinal cord injuries in his clinical rotations at UNM. He recently volunteered at the VA Golden Age Games 10K cycling event, and spent time in PT school as a volunteer working with seniors and with children with developmental disabilities.
Tristan's tip for success in physical therapy is to remember how important positive thinking can be. Tristan says, "I believe that to heal the body, you must be in the appropriate mental state, and that negative emotions and stress can be major barriers to recovery."
Tristan enjoys running as well as cooking and eating healthy meals. He splits his time between work, trying to stay in shape, and his true passion: his family.
