Dr. Ayres received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of New Mexico. Through her clinical rotations and post-graduate work, she has experience in outpatient orthopedics, acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and skilled nursing facilities. She enjoys the outpatient setting because of the diversity of conditions and creativity you can have with treatments.
Amryn believes in approaching each person as a whole, and not as a diagnosis. Each person is unique and, therefore, requires an individual approach.
She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and served as the Core Ambassador for New Mexico while she was in school. She knows it’s important to be involved and strives to continue to learn and grow as a person and PT.
Amryn plans to pursue her clinical specialty in orthopedics, and enjoys attending continuing education in both manual therapy and exercise techniques.
Amryn enjoys hiking, biking, playing with her dog, and any time she can learn something new.
